A rundown of what we're doing,
watching, reading, coveting.
Here's what's got our attention this week.

  • “Moisturizing with an oil is like sitting in a car while it’s raining and expecting to get wet: It will never happen.” Ummm excuuuse? This was a very upsetting and very important read for someone who has spent the last four years sitting in the car expecting to get wet!!

  • Louise has been wearing this dress on repeat. She swims every day at her camp, so she wears her suit underneath, (love the long sleeve layering!) and the easy fit + lightweight material make it a perfect no-fuss staple for summer.

  • I’ve had to have a few moles removed lately and am internally cursing my childhood summer days, laying in the sand, searing my back while playing with my cousin’s treasured My Little Pony collection. I can still feel the sunburn sensation while trying to sleep at night. So painful! Where was the spray sunscreen?! This summer, I’m making every effort to cover up. I love swimming in the ocean and have small kids who love to, too, so I can’t always be under the umbrella or wear a cover-up or apply enough sunscreen. So I’m looking into the long-sleeve swimsuit option. I’ve done the rashguard thing, but I must have gotten the wrong size because it’s too big when it gets wet and feels like wet static cling, and sometimes sandy wet static cling. Not what I’m after! Louise has a few of this style, and I like knowing her whole upper body is protected all day. Set it and forget it! And I want the same. I’ve always loved Cynthia Rowley’s wetsuits, and I’m into this “surfsuit” of hers. I like the simplicity of this one. This one is so pretty but too $$$. I’m not usually a pink person, but this one is feeling like the winner!

  • India is just starting to feel big enough for actual crafts (sort of). She has been a rock collector since she could walk, so I thought this was such a cute idea for our upcoming weekend at the beach.

  • I know they’re in but I’m still not a teva person ! The only thing that might sway me is this cute collab with Eric Carle of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. How cute are these ??

  • I might be late to the party here, but this is the most fun summer toddler toy I can imagine, and for $20 ! It’s like having NYC parks right in your own backyard.
