Here's what's got our attention this week.

As a former stationer, printed materials (and cards specifically) will always hold a special place in my heart. This card, a recent gift (a handwritten card is a gift!), stopped me in my tracks. Beautiful card stock (the English really know their paper) in a pretty soft blush, letterpress printed (the best), beautifully + loosely illustrated (my favorite kind) in a bright blue hue. It’s paper perfection in my eyes. This abstract one by her is equally interesting.

We have tacos once a week. (I wish I could say it was every Tuesday, but alas we’re not that organized.) When Katy Elliott raved about this recipe, I had to try. And, I am excited to report that it was a massive hit in our house. We had them again this week. We don’t have an insta pot (yet!) so we made do without, but I’d be curious to try this recipe in the way it calls for.

John planted a bunch of vegetables + herbs at the Jersey shore this summer, and we were overwhelmed with the abundance that came from it. (ie 20 jars of pesto + still going!) The cucumbers in particular grew so fast + furious. One day we collected over ten from our little garden. We pickled some, cut some up fresh (luckily all kids love them), and then I consulted my trusty Chez Panisse Vegetables book by Alice Waters who has delicious and simple recipes, all organized by vegetable. We made a cucumber, red onion + mango salad that was so good! The prints by Patricia Curtan in this book make it extra special + a great gift for the vegetable lover / gardener in your life.

Summer isn’t officially over yet, and the tomatoes out there are proof. If you’re still reveling in them like I am try this no cook tomato sauce from one of my favorites, Healthyish.

The Apolina kids’ fall launch is so very gorgeous. I’m fortunate to almost never need to buy India clothing, because of all the beautiful hand-me-downs we get, so I was allowing myself to splurge on this jumpsuit for the holidays. But by the time I was about to search for it (the evening of their launch) it was sold out everywhere !
