You Might Also Like: A Cute Toolbox + A Small Thanksgiving

A rundown of what we’re doing, watching, reading, coveting.
Now every other Thursday. All linked here.

  • I know I know, Ikea again? I’m sorry, I can’t help myself. This wooden toolbox would be such a cute gift for a little handyman at heart, like my Jamesie. I could also see Louise loving it as an accessory box and maybe painting / decorating it. And even Griffin could use it for keeping his school work materials organized at home. So many cute kiddo options here for $29.99.

  • Have you seen the show, Ted Lasso? We’re a few episodes in and loving it. It’s sweet, optimistic and hilarious–exactly what I need right now! And maybe these amazing looking bars too!

  • We just gave this cute little ring set to a special little birthday girl who loves getting dressed up. And wrapped it with our favorite wool ribbon. Both from small women-owned businesses I’m happy to support.

  • I know gifts are on everyone’s mind right now (did you see our first gift guide?). A little while ago Josh and I bought a bunch of these kid’s T-shirts to have on hand for gifting. We love the illustration and the celebration. We bought RBG, Frida, Rosa Parks, BLM,  and Maya Angelou to encourage the kids in our lives to celebrate these women and movements.

  • I love the work of Workstead, and this Shelter Island residence is no exception. There are more details than I can mention but the restraint, the contrast, the palette, the lighting (of course), the double shutters. I think I’m often drawn to a minimalism I could never achieve. It all has me daydreaming of travel and house rentals whenever we can do that again!

  • We were so sad to make the definitive call not to travel to my in-laws for Thanksgiving last week. It feels heavy to not see his family, but it feels worse to risk exposing them to anything. In light of staying home we’re trying to find the best ways to make our smaller Thanksgiving merry and bright. I’ll be setting our table with our new Bird Tablecloth and Napkins and lighting a few candles. This will only be my second time making thanksgiving dinner so I’m excited to try a few new recipes. Right now I’m eyeing these sides : skillet mushroom cornbread stuffing, cauliflower mashed potatoes, and roasted beets with Grapefruit and Rosemary (and then also keep asking myself why I’m not just ordering sides ??).
