I still pack a swaddle blanket in my carry-on bag. And I always find a reason to use it. Usually, it’s for the kids, but this time, I was the one who was freezing.

We recently installed a marble countertop, so we’re new to caring for it, and you might already know this tip, but I thought I’d share in case you don’t because I would have loved to know it two weeks ago! I won’t name names, but someone in our house made spicy chili ramen and unbeknownst to us, left oil drips on the counter overnight. Gross orange circles. After using everything in the house and texting every stain-fighting friend, we tried one basic idea and it worked! : Baking soda + water, covered in saran wrap, left to sit overnight. Like new! Hurrah!!
