A rundown of what we're doing,
watching, reading, coveting.
Here's what's got our attention this week.
Hi friends!

Liz here while Lizzy is out on maternity leave.

  • Let’s jump right in–how are you getting your booze? We recently ordered from the NYC wine shop, Parcelle, which is owned by the hospitality group behind the incredible nyc restaurants Charlie Bird, Pasquale Jones, and Legacy Records. I appreciate that they have a carefully curated selection (you’re not scrolling through 100 pages) at all price points, with a particular focus on everyday, ready-to-drink wines. You know you’re going to get something great, and I’m happy to support a local shop for those delicious + much appreciated sips!

  • Speaking of local shops with a great curated selection, our favorite local children’s book store, Stories, is shipping! Griffin and I are reading Wildwood together, (he’s also solo reading Stuart Gibbs’ books which he loves), Louise continues to love all the Gerald + Piggie books by Mo Willems, and James’ new favorites are the Tiny T. Rex books. (Gift idea: send someone a cookbook for inspiration. This one has been a favorite of mine for years.)

  • Have you watched the new Disney / Pixar movie, Onward yet? Omg I cried so hard. Wept really. It’s a great movie + definitely worth watching, so don’t let the open flood gates deter you, but woah be prepared with tissues. I was not. We also watched Pick of the Litter this week, a family-friendly documentary that follows five dogs on their journey to becoming service dogs for the blind. It’s amazing and so touching to see how dedicated the trainers and foster families are to the dogs and to the mission, and then how life changing these dogs are for the people who are lucky enough to get them. So so heartwarming!

Heading into the weekend:

  • I’m inspired to make one of these for James.
  • Lastly, in case you missed it yesterday, we released our Self Care Gift Set for Mother’s Day–a selection of some of our favorite all-natural products, all meant to make you feel good. We put it together well before this pandemic hit the US, and we’re releasing it at a time when we could ALL use these things. I wish I could send you all one!

On that note, is there anything we can do for you? Anything you want to see more of or know more about? I’d LOVE to hear all your ideas, wishes, requests: liz@lewisishome.com

Sending you all a big hug. See you back here next week.

xoxo
