What’s your favorite family tradition?
There is nothing I love more than playing all kinds of games with my family. We find creative ways to come together near or far, across generations and time zones. Some favorites include Mind the Gap, Pico Park, UNO, escape rooms, and Monopoly Deal.
What are three things you always have with you?
I rarely leave home without a super heavy (read: impractical) novel, Lypsyl lip balm, and my phone. I may not always need all three, but I miss them desperately whenever I leave one behind.
Favorite recent read / watch / listen?
I really enjoyed The Residence on Netflix, starring my new favorite TV detective, Uzo Aduba. She won my whole heart the moment she rolled her eyes at all of the dudes just standing around, watching her get stuff done.
What’s your favorite way to unwind?
To unwind, I love a change of scenery. My son is the same way! He is my little travel buddy. I think that’s why I also love a good, long walk through different parts of town. Whenever I’m on a solo walk, I call up friends and chat on the phone. There is no problem we can't solve (or simply choose to laugh about) together. Besides, this is how I get all the best travel, book, and podcast recommendations.
Tell us about a mother you admire.
The mom I most admire approaches motherhood with endless patience and a ready laugh. She also has a special relationship with my son. He's always testing out new nicknames for her (I think he's calling her "Bubs" these days!). She reminds me that motherhood is about genuine presence and delight in the journey.
Sophie’s Lewis FavoritesMy absolute favorite Lewis products are the zip pouches. The smallest ones in each set are my lifeline! I store all my essentials in one, making it easy to swap purses as I’m running out the door. I keep the bigger zip pouches and kids totes packed for different activities. These stay organized by print: yellow snails for swimming, jade alligators for camp essentials, oysters for gym accessories, and my ‘mama’ embroidered pouch for art supplies.
